Taliban arrest female judges in Kabul

On two separate occasions, on Saturday and Monday, Taliban forces arrested about 100 men and women trying to leave Afghanistan from Maulana Jalaludd, Mazar-e-Sharif airport. The people, arrested at the airport, had been living in safe houses in the Zahiruddin Faryabi area. I made a phone call and found out some of their names. They are female judges, and former staff of foreign and national organizations. They were going to fly to the US camp in Abu Dhabi with Kam Air. A source confirmed to Aamaj News that on Saturday, at about 12:00 p.m., the Taliban arrested 40 people who were supposed to leave the country through evacuation flights and were waiting at the reception. The same source added that Taliban raided the airport and arrested 40 out of the 120 passengers bound for Mazar-e-Sharif - Dubai. They were frightened. Some of them were travelling with children, who were also taken away by the Taliban.

The source, who had a role in organizing the flight, confirms that the majority of the people arrested are former judges, and a number of them are former staff of Afghan and foreign organizations, who were supposed to be evacuated to the Abu Dhabi temporary camps.
