Reliable sources told BBC that three Taliban diplomats of Taliban have gone to Afghanistan embassy in Iran, and that the Iranian government accepted their credentials.
According to said sources, one of them is the third secretary and twothe others are just members of staff. But it’s the former ambassador, who was appointed by the former government, who runs the affairs of the embassy, even after the collapse of former governmentthe previous regime.
According to Iranian media reports, the spokesperson of Iran’s foreign ministry, Saeed Khatibzada, said that the exchange of diplomats between Afghanistan and Iran is compatible with international conventions and has nothing to do with recognition.
